Lindsay Morgan Lohan is an American actress and singer, born on July 2, 1986 in New York, New York to Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan.

She started her career modeling for the Ford Academy when she was three year old. She has appeared in over sixty TV commercials for The Gap, Pizza Hut, Wendy's, and Jell-O. Producers soon discovered her acting talent and she starred several soap operas including Another World, The Guiding Light and As The World Turns. Healthy Kids, along with Dinah Lohan, her mother and business representative. In 1998, she landed her first movie role reprising the Hayley Mills role in Disney's remake of the 1961 Mills vehicle The Parent Trap. Lohan, as Mills had, performed twin sisters who make an alliance to reunite their estranged parents. The movie co-starred by Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson, introduced Lohan to a wider public. After signing a three-year movie agreement with Disney, she made her comeback to the small screen starring the made-for-TV movies Life-Size (2000) and Get a Clue (2002). She also performed Rose in the pilot episode of the comedy series "Bette" (2000), which starred Bette Midler.

In June 2001, Lohan took a brief pause from the screen and made her music foray a year later. Producer Emilio Estefan contracted her for a five-album production deal in September 2002, and she signed a recording contract with the diva-makers Casablanca Records. Then, she was cast to star in another Disney production opposite Jamie Lee Curtis, Freaky Friday (2003), a remake which was a large hit, earning $160 million worldwide. Moreover, Lohan received the 2004 MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Female, as well as a Saturn award nomination and another Young Artist award nomination. She also dated pop star Aaron Carter for a short time.

Her next role was the leading character in Disney adaption of Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004). Even though the film reaped received scathing reviews, her charming turn as aspiring actress Lola generated buzz. Her next project on the big screen was Mean Girls, a high-school comedy-drama, which led to shining reviews, and grossed $86 million in the US. In 2006 she earned $7.5 million for the Donald Petrie romantic comedy Just My Luck and starred in Bobby alongside Nick Cannon.

On top of a thriving film career, Lohan released her album debut "Speak," which shipped stores in December 2004. Lohan's hobbies include shopping, basketball, swimming, singing, reading, writing, gymnastics, collecting Beanie Babies, roller-blading, and playing with her siblings Ali, Dakota and MichaelLohan.

Lindsay was named #10 on FHM list of "100 Sexiest Women," and she topped Maxim's "Hot 100" ranking. She appeared on Georgia Rule released on May 11, where she co-starred Felicity Huffman and Jane Fonda. Lohan also starred as a stripper in the film I Know Who Killed Me.
